Our laboratory and tissue culture processes are designed to be clean, eliminating the risk of pests, mold, and pathogens commonly associated with traditional propagation methods. However, we have identified that the only potential risk vector for contamination in our process is the substrate used to root our clones.
The organic-based substrate we have traditionally used, coco, naturally contained traces of mold and fungi. In our quest to deliver the cleanest and healthiest plants to you, we have made the decision to switch to rockwool – an inert substrate. We have tested and trialed rockwool for a year and have seen improved root structure, more vigorous plant growth, and healthier plants.
