With a lineage including Chemdog 91 and GSC, GMO S1 captures with best of its parents’ genetics, bringing savory notes of garlic, mushroom and onions and marrying them with a punch of gasoline that will not disappoint fans of the original GMO’s skunk.
Cultivating the GMO S1 Cannabis Strain: Grower’s Notes
The GMO S1 cultivar produces big dense colas, this plant likes to stretch once the flowering cycle is induced. Expect up to 3 x during the early flowering cycle, make sure you have no height restrictions, not ideal for tiered racking systems. These plants have thick, durable stems and but stretch once induced into flower, which will require multiple layers of trellising to support canopy.
Preferring a high nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium (NPK) soil or fertigation regime, the plants produce semi-dense, uniform colas with an large overall flower set size. To achieve a purple color shift, shift dark temperatures to 70 degrees Fahrenheit or lower in week 4-5, allowing for 2-3 weeks of cooler temps for full color expression. GMO S1 plants finish about a week earlier than the original, and have less susceptibility to pests and fungal infections.
